SOVA Chamber Pitch Competition Winner
In August, we celebrated the SOVA Pitch Competition during our Chamber Luncheon. Congratulations to John for winning first place with EcoFresh Bins!

SOVA Chamber of Commerce
Ray Ferguson, owner of RVA Roofing Services/RoofMaxx and president of the SOVA Chamber of Commerce, joined us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the reopening of our local thrift store in Petersburg, VA. Congratulations to the Crater Community Hospice Thrift Store! We appreciate all your efforts to support our community, with all proceeds going toward helping families with patient care costs. Thank you for everything you do!

SOVA Chamber Annual Awards
The 2025 SOVA Chamber Annual Awards Dinner, hosted by Ray Ferguson, President of the Chamber and co-owner of RVA Roofing Services and Roof Maxx, celebrated remarkable members of our community.
During the event, Michael VanWyck, also co-owner of RVA Roofing Services and Roof Maxx in West Richmond, was honored with the Business Person of the Year award.

Ray Ferguson, owner of RVA Roofing Services/Roof Maxx, veteran, and entrepreneur, shared valuable insights and words of encouragement with fellow veterans at Virginia State University. He discussed the challenges and rewards of launching a business after military service.

During a recent trip to Nicaragua, Michael VanWyck, co-owner of RVA Roofing Services and owner of Incredible HVAC and Incredible Cleaning Services, helped deliver 100 wheelchairs through the Chair of Love Foundation!
